Allan is responsible for the overall investment growth of MDC’s real estate portfolio across Canada and the U.S.

​

Allan has over 30 years of experience across all aspects of real estate and has completed over $4 billion in real estate transactions. He began his career as a property manager before diversifying into acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, development and mortgage financing. A strong, client-centric executive with deep knowledge of the Canadian and U.S. market, Allan’s insight-based strategies consistently lead to creating value for clients.

• Allan previously worked for TGS North American Real Estate Investment Trust as its Vice President, Acquisitions. During his time with REIT, Allan was involved in over $600 million in property acquisitions and dispositions and was instrumental in the process that led to the eventual sale of the REIT to Great-West Life.A

• Prior to REIT, Allan worked on over $1 billion of commercial sale transactions, the majority of which were on behalf of institutional investors.

• Previously, Allan was MDC’s Executive Vice President and Epic Investment Services Senior Vice President, Investments where he was responsible for acquisitions and business development in the US and Western Canada.
