Marty is CFO at MDC Realty Advisors with over 17 years of real estate experience. He sees every business challenge as an opportunity for growth through earned experience. In his 25+ years as a Chartered Professional Accountant, he has managed a myriad of investments for a wide array of clients with specific reporting requirements. Marty builds strong, capable teams that actively support MDC's private clients through a deep understanding of their business and delivery of best-in-class service.

Marty is highly adept in all aspects of accounting, including reporting/disclosure, business development, audit and taxes, banking and experience with commercial real estate, investor relations and human resources.

In addition to his wide experience with commercial real estate, Marty also has experience with open and closed end funds, income trusts, oil and gas, financial services, hospitality and non-profit organizations.

Prior to joining MDC, Marty was a Controller for a group of investment products including 11 publicly traded structures on the Toronto Stock Exchange, a mutual fund corporation with five fund classes, and a flow-through limited partnership.

Marty received a Bachelor of Business degree at the University of Calgary and articled for his CA/CPA designation at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He works out of the MDC's head office in Calgary.
