MDC Completes Strategic Acquisition of Chinook Park Plaza

Strategically positioned along the high-traffic Macleod Trail Corridor and directly north of CF Chinook Centre—one of Canada’s top-performing malls—the property is home to a diverse mix of service-oriented tenants. Furthermore, Chinook Park Plaza sits on 2.3 acres of land with zoning in place to support future densification.

MDC acquired the property on an off-market basis, swiftly capitalizing on the opportunity on behalf of private clients after identifying a clear path to enhance value. With below-market lease rates and a weighted average lease term of 3.2 years, MDC’s strategy is focused on unlocking embedded value through active leasing, while driving long-term income growth by repositioning the asset through targeted capital improvements.
