Successful Disposition

MDC Realty Advisors, on behalf of its partners, is pleased to announce the sale of One O’Hare Centre, a 12-story, 380,360-square-foot Class A office tower located in Rosemont, Illinois, to a U.S based real estate private equity firm. The sale marks the successful conclusion of a nearly decade-long hold following MDC’s acquisition of the asset in October 2015.

Strategically positioned at 6250 North River Road, One O’Hare Centre is one of the most recognized assets in the Chicago suburbs. At the time of sale, the building was approximately 95% leased—outperforming both the broader Suburban Chicago office market, which currently sits at 25% vacancy, and the O’Hare submarket’s 21% vacancy rate.

MDC implemented a focused asset management and capital enhancement strategy, investing over $5.5 million in property improvements during its ownership. Key upgrades included a striking new lobby and media wall, tenant lounge, enhanced fitness center with Peloton and HydroMassage amenities, and a Starbucks café, all of which contributed to sustained leasing momentum and tenant retention. MDC also maintained the asset’s LEED Gold, ENERGY STAR, and AMP Building Certifications, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to operational excellence and environmental performance.
